New York based comedian Alex Edelman hit the spotlight this summer when he was announced Best Newcomers Winner at this year's Edinburgh Comedy Awards, beating off stiff competition from the likes of Lazy Susan, Lucy Beaumont and Steen Raskopoulos.

His debut show Millennial, set to run in January at the Soho Theatre, is about the disaffected 'Generation Y', with topics ranging from gay marriage to US politics, and was described as a 'strong, assured debut' by Time Out. Edelman, who's also written for The Atlantic and numerous other publications, is supporting Simon Amstell on his UK tour this autumn.
